Using Acrobat Pro Version 2023.001.201443|64 bit
When I try to insert a rectangle into any and all pdf files, I get a Bad Parameter error.
This happens to all PDF's I open. I've tried several suggestions found online, but that has to do mostly with corrupted files. Which is not my issue.
Any help would be appreciated.

I found a solution. Open a pdf file with a previously drawn rectangle tool comment. Right click and select "Make current properties default". You should now be able to use the tool without the error.

Hi,
Can you list the steps you take to get the error you describe?
Can you also share a screenshot showing what you are trying to achieve?

I am simply trying to add a rectangle as a comment.
Steps:
I select Comment
Then Drawing tools
Then Rectangle.
When I click on the document to draw the rectangle, I get the error
All the other drawing tools work fine except the rectangle tool.

I have this same issue. Occurs on Windows and MacOS operating environments with Pro. I did not see a solution posted in response to your issue illustration Mauricio31711475lh77.
All other markup tools work with no issues - its just the rectangle tool.
I've found a crude work-around is to use the polygon or cloud tools, but its clunky and not as neat.
Thanks.

Thank you, James27999784scoy.
That's what I have to do as well. Maybe someday they'll fix it...

I had the same issue, and uninstalling Acrobat and reinstalling fixed the issue for me!
