The bates numbers had been added using Adobe Pro. When I attempted to remove the bates numbers using Adobe Pro, I needed to add documents for de-batesing on a file-by-file basis rather than a folder-by-folder basis. To solve the problem, I purchased other software that was able to de-bates documents on a folder-by-folder basis.
