JavaScript scripts run even when fields are locked (read-only).
Have I missed something, or is Acrobat becoming unusable?
In the attachment, both fields are read-only, try it...

Hi @AnandSri
Please excuse me and don't take this the wrong way, but the product team is completely mistaken.
From 1996 to January 2025, Acrobat never behaved this way, they can try a version of Acrobat for Windows prior to 2025 to convince themselves, or any Acrobat for Mac version (which is unaffected by this bug).
And no other serious PDF reader software does either, they can also try Foxit, PDF Studio or PDF-XChange.
Furthermore, all the experts who have commented on this topic confirm this.

Same as @Thom Parker , mine is working as expected with no issues.
Using Acrobat version : 25.001.20937 on Windows 11 machine (both 64-bit)
I am thinking if the problems goes away when all .Net and C++ redistributables are updated to its latest versions (just guessing).
