Black PDF pages

New Here ,

Hi, starting yesterday for no apparent reason, all of my PDF files open as mostly black pages. Much of the photos are still there, but b/w text is gone, replaced by solid black.  Any thoughts?

Are you getting these documents from a security-focused organization? What kind of PDF (creation) settings did you use to create yours? Have you tried different zoom view settings to see if you get the same results at different page view sizes? How do they print — the way you see them onscreen or the way you'd normally expect?

If you're seeing the text in long solid black blocks, it could be that the content is somehow redacted. Or that your screen somehow is just lying to you. If you can answer the questions above, it'll help us know what's happening and give us insight about how we can best help you.

Thanks Randy - turns out it was as simple as updating my Firefox browser, apparently it had become corrupted and was reading PDFs incorrectly, I'm good now, thanks!!!

So you use the browser to view your PDF files?

That generally works, but you will likely have fewer issues and will definitely be able to use more capabilities in your PDF files if you install the free Adobe Reader application. If you choose to do so, you can download and install that software through this official Adobe link.

Glad you found the source of your problem. Hope this helps you as well,

Randy
