I am trying to extract images for a storefront from a pdf they have given. I know how to extract from tools and everything but when I go to open the photo in my files they are all blurry. Ive messed around with the dpi and everything and im not sure how to fix this.

Hi Default,

I can only guess here because you have not shared the PDF, but when comparing the images you've extracted and the images in the PDF, are they the same dimensional size?

By that, I mean if you were to print out a page of the PDF, and the image in question is (say) 3 x 4 inches. If you took the extracted image, placed it in a document so that it was also 3 x 4 inches, does it appear the same?

Next question: Do you have Photoshop (or some other Photoshop-like program)? If so, have you examined the extracted image and looked at the pixel-width, pixel-height, and the resolution? What are they?

I ask all this because I suspect that you have an image set to be a specific size within the PDF. When looking at the extracted image, it's expanding to some larger "apparent" size and displaying soft edges because it does not have the resolution to be sharp at the expanded size. Simply because an image looks sharp when small does not mean it will be sharp when made larger.

If you wish to share the document, I might be able to be more specific.
