If it still doesn't work,

- What happens when you try to add pages to the PDF? Do you get any error message? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same.

- Is this an issue with a specific file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different file and check.

Note: Make sure you have the recent version 22.2.20191 of the Adobe Acrobat DC application installed. Help > Check for updates.
