I have been wanting to say this for awhile and I finally have reached the limit of my frustration. It is absolute trash that you stripped out functionality from the base level of Adobe Acrobat that I have had access to for YEARS, well over a DECADE. I went to "save as" on an image and was smacked with a subscription page. It's garbage. Since that function was created, I have always been able to use it, now you want $13 a month. Your monitization of this software is predatory and absolutely unwarranted for 90% of the functionality in the software. I can't do this anymore, I am so finished with Adobe. Frack off.
Don't reply with shill copism trying to convince me that this is somehow "fair" and that I am wrong or entitled. Up until now, Adobe has been a mainstay on my PCs since the 80s. I am entitled to this.
Edit -- If you have to pay for the fracking function, then at the very least GRAY IT OUT! Worse than EA.

Do you use Acrobat Reader or Adobe Acrobat?

Hello. Wow, I just read what I posted and it is quite a bit unhinged. I apologize for that. I used to love my Adobe products. I used to have "Adobe Acrobat Reader", but hit that "flashy" and persistant upgrade button a few years back, bringing it to the modern Acrobat (thinking I was getting a standard upgrade), stripping out my most useful functions and adding them to a subscription. I would have to factory reset my PC to get the older version back unfortunately. I'll just use one of the many FREE clones now.

It must have been Acrobat Standard I had, I can't remember. It never used to be something I cared to pay attention to until I realized I cant do stuff I used to before I upgraded.

Acrobat Reader can only save in PDF or in TXT format, that's the way it's always been.
To save in any other format, you must use Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Pro.

Then Im getting my software names mixed up, Either way, before I hit the Upgrade button a couple years back, I could do things, that I cant do now without buying a sub. That is the point. I'm also not the only one who found functions moved behind a paywall and moved on. I have just now hit my tolerance point and am doing the same thing. It was a rant, but I appreciate you "straightening" me out on that fact.

If you have a perpetual license (vs. subscription) of Acrobat Standard, there's nothing to stop you reinstalling it.

But you must uninstall the current version you have first. You can't have both at the same time.
