Button properties not working?

Hi

I'm using Acrobat Pro DC 2019.021.20056 on a Mac. I'm trying to learn how to use the 'button' feature in Rich Media. I find that when I try to apply font and border characteristics in the 'property' window, they don't work. I can change the background color. That works, but if I try to change the font, it will let me choose a font from my font menu, but then it doesn't change the font. Same with the border feature. I can pick a color for a border, but when I close the color picking window, the border color remains transparent. Is it broken, or am I missing something?

Hoping to use this on a project and am baffled that such a basic thing doesn't seem to be working.Screen Shot 2019-12-02 at 11.19.33 AM.pngexpand image

thanks
Kurt

You have to exit the Prepare Form mode to see those changes. And you have to apply a label to the button (under the Options tab) to see any text on it. The font and color you see in this screenshot will not change based on your selections, as they are not a part of the field, but the way the application displays the field name and location in edit mode.
