Calculate tools not available

I have created a form in adobe pro, but when I try to add a calculation, the options are greyed out.  Advice please?

This is an eSign form.  You need to revert to an Acrobat form to see all the field property tabs.  With the classic interface, click More in the fields panel on the right and select Rever to Acrobat Form.  With the "New" Acrobat UI, click the 3 dots to the right of Prepare Form in the left panel and select "Remove esigning options".
