Out of the blue, I can no longer open a pdf when I do command+O. Even if I click on the file once, then click on 'open.' I am on a Macbook Air. But, if I go to 'finder' and click on the document, it will open.
What is going on? Any ideas? This was never a problem before. Thank you.

Make sure that the app is updated to the latest version.
2) yes Mac version. All updates have been checked.
3) apparently an update is needed but I cannot get it to update. It tells me I need to quit the application, so I close out Adobe and then nothing happens. It just sits at 'waiting for you to quiet these applications....'
