Can't checkmark a checkbox that has been unchecked previously in fillable form

Hi,

I've created my first fillable form (with checkboxes) and have a problem. 

The first time I click the checkbox, a checkmark appears, just as intended. But if I click to remove the checkmark, I can no longer put a checkmark in that checkbox again. No matter how many times I click, it remains just an empty box. 

I tried opening the PDF through Microsoft Edge, which solves the problem. But no luck with Chrome. Is there a way to solve this issue?

Open the form in Adobe Acrobat. Can you activate the checkbox?
