Can't create link to pdf file

Made a file, saved the file, clicked on the "get a link to this document to share with others" icon.  Won't save to cloud.  All I want is to create a link to send to others to access my file.  Am I missing something obvious?  If the fix is for me to go into multiple extrenal windows, update, repair, download, etc, let me know, and I'll cancel this for something better.  Is the AI Assistant and other "BETA" tagged options interfering with this?  I am a luddite, but I do remember just clicking once and it worked before.  Thanks in advance!

Hi @Tom24328965fui8

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

I have tried to reproduce the issue on my end and its working fine.

Would you mind checking, if this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs, Please try with a different PDF file and check.

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.08.20555 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once and see if that works.

Let us know if you experience any trouble and need more help

Hi there

Please try to download the patch manually from the link https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html and see if that works.

Updated to version you mentioned, downloaded the patch, running on Windows
11. Still not working. It doesn't save to the cloud, nor does any other
files I have saved. Says linked copied in green...I see no link anywhere.
All I want to do is create a link so someone can read my entire file.

Let's say you have uploaded a file. How do you go about getting a link to
send to someone else? Not a link inside of the pdf, but the link so
someone else can click on the link from their email and see my entire pdf
file.

Hi there,

You can quickly share a link to a PDF document with others for viewing or commenting. The document shared as a link opens in any browser on any device. The document is stored securely in Adobe cloud storage. Recipients get an email with a link, and they can click the link to view and comment on the document in a browser; no sign-in is required.

For more information, please go through the steps shared in the help page : https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/sharing-pdfs.html

Hope this information will help
