Please help me download the free version of Adobe reader.  Every option I have tried reverts to the DC version which I don't need or want to pay for.

Reader is Acrobat Reader DC. Has been for years. It's free. What about it don't you want?

Hey!

I guess you have downloaded Acrobat DC to use trial version. Once trial is over, it started asking you to make payment. However, you are willing to rollback to the free version you had earlier?

If this is the case, then you may try the following steps-

1- Use cleaner tool to remove the trial version of Acrobat DC: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

2- Install Adobe Reader DC (freeware) through this link: https://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions/

Let us know if it still doesn't work for you.

Thanks,

Akanchha

Can I still use these links? I used the trial version of Acrobat but I want to revert to the free version. I have uninstalled and tried to reinstall but it won't let me proceed without paying.

Cleaner tool: https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

Reader download: https://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions/

Note, though, that you have to cancel your trial version, as it will switch to a paid subscription automatically at the end of the trial period. Just uninstalling it is not enough!

You can do so here: https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/cancel-subscription.html
