Hello,

I'm trying to embed fonts in my pdf using Acrobat Pro DC. I don't see the "fix potential font problems" under the PDF fixups in the preflight. Am I missing something?

At the top of the screen, do you see Acrobat Pro DC 2015 Profiles?

Great answer.  I have the same issue.  I have 2 pdf's.  Separately they are fine.  When I combine them into one, some of the text becomes boxes and just gobbledygook.  I am using Prefight for the first time, trying to solve this issue.  I followed your instructions above but the problem was not corrected.

When I roll my cursor over the fonts, I am seeing fonts named -- Arial 4250 or Times New Roman 4244, 4255, 4256.  I've never heard of these fonts.  Do you have any insight?

If I need to have the fonts on my computer to embed them, maybe this is the problem.  I have never heard of these fonts.

Thanks --

Try running the embed font preflight on each PDF before combining them.

Thanks, that was my issue too.

re: embed fonts at creation of PDF, sure, in an ideal world or if you can control creating every PDF. But PDFs come from all over and as I imagine we're all familiar, you never know what you'll find in a PDF. Never a dull moment.
