Can't get Topaz signature pad working in Acrobat Pro DC

I have followed the instructions in both Topaz and Adobe's help sites.  I get the Topaz T-LBK460 signature pad to show up as an input device under "Signatures" in preferences but it doesn't come up as an option under signatures.  This worked well in previous versions.  The plugin shows up under the certificates.

Same issue in 2022. Topaz sigpad works in Word and Demo, but not Adobe Reader DC or Adobe Acrobat Pro DC
