Can't install reader - "newer version already installed"

Trying to install Acrobat Reader DC on a new PC (Windows 10) and keep getting the error message at the end of installation - "newer version already installed". I have tried running the Cleaner even though its never had a reader installed on it anyway, but still get the same error. Any ideas?

Thanks for going extra mile and trying some steps on your own.

As the error message appears to be "Newer version is already installed", then you may perform the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the help article: Error 1722 while installing/updating Acrobat DC/Acrobat Reader DC on Windows

If you have the application and OS up-to-date then perform the troubleshooting steps suggested in Solution:3

Sorry, in my reply, I meant to say, It hasn't corrected the problem! Yes, I am still having issues. Have just tried installing again, same error message.
