Can't search and redact any more

New Here ,
Jul 07, 2023 Jul 07, 2023

User used to be able to search-and-redact 200-page documents.
That option has disappeared.
User can redact individual words manually, so documents are not wrong format for recognizing words etc.
User got a new computer. Issue persists.

I can't find a setting marked "Make user's job harder", and AFAIK everyoune here is supposed to be licensed to use all Pro features.

This setting is called the "New Acrobat UI"... Go to the Options menu on the top left-hand corner and select "Disable New Acrobat" to restore the old UI and revert all the tools and panels to their previous locations. If you do that and still can't find the tool, post here again.

Hi @David29718068sjau

In the modern viewer, tool positioning has been changed. However, the functionalities remain as it is.

Explore the new experience of other Acrobat tools: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/new-acrobat-experience.html

The search tools bar and the find tool are combined in the Find text or tool search in the global bar.

If you still can't find it, as suggested above switch back to the old UI and check if you have the tools available.

Thanks,

Akanchha
