In the latest Adobe Acrobat version, I cannot "add text" to parts of documents. When I choose the add text tool, it opens up the document for editing, but some parts of the document are inside of a text box. When they are in a text box, I cannot add any text in that area. HELP! I had to revert back to an older version of Adobe Acrobat in order to edit the text, but Adobe has a message that it will be removing that capability and I don't want to get caught unable to edit these documents.

Hi Terry5CF8,
Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the trouble.
We assume you are referring to the bounding boxes that appear when you use the Edit tool. However, you can always remove those boxes. On the Edit tool in the left-hand pane, click on the gear icon and uncheck the box for "Show bounding boxes". Check the screenshot below for reference.
You should be able to add text in these boxes. Please check if you can add text after removing the boxes. If you still experience an issue adding text to the PDF, let us know.
If you were referring to something else, please share the screenshot to understand it better.
Thanks,
Meenakshi
