Cannot arrange pages, print or open PDF in new window

Hi,

the past week ore so me- and some of my coworkers have had some trouble whit the program.

 

1. If I have more than one tab open, and I want to have dokument 1 on the first screen, and dokument 2 on the other screen, I am not alowed to drag one dokument away from the other. The tabs are locked in a way.

 

2. If I want to rearange pages in a dokument, that is no longer posible. I can delete, but not rearange.

 

3. It would not let me prit out dokuments. Some times a message pops op, and some time not, but nothing gets printet.

 

The strange thing is if I save the dokument, shut down the program and later on open, it is fixed. But sudanly it`s locked again. Can take 1 hour, can take a day.

 

Is there a bug?

Thank you for reaching out.

 

1. Please check if the option to "Open documents as new tabs in the same window" is available under the Acrobat Preferences. If yes, try to disable that option.

In Acrobat, go to Edit menu > Preferences > General > Open documents as new tabs in the same window.

 

2. What happens when you try to rearrange the pages? Do you get any error messages? Share the steps you do.

Check if it happens with all the files.

 

3. Would you mind sharing the screenshot of the message pop-ups? Check if you cannot print any PDFs.

 

Try creating a new test Word file and convert it to PDF. Check if you can rearrange the pages or print that file.

Share the Acrobat and OS version numbers.

Hi again and thank you for the quick response.

 

As I said the strange thing is that it sometimes work, sometimes don't. Right now it works. I will do the test you recommended the next time it happens.

 

But, 2: Nothing happen, no error messages. It just would not move, as if its locked. I start by clicking "Ordne sider", I would belive its "Rearange pages" in english. Then I click and hold one of the pages and try to drag it away, but it is not moving.

3: Most of the time it just looks like it would print, but nothing comes out (word dokucment works). I can take a screenshot next time it happens.

The file verison is 23.001.20143.0

Now when I went to fint the version the whole program freezes. I could not do anyting.

When I shut everything down and startet agian it was ok.

2. For the rearranging issue, did you check if the issue occurs with other PDFs?

 

3. Try the troubleshooting steps for printing suggested in the following help document: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-pdf-printing-acrobat-reader.html

 

Also, try reinstalling the application if the issue persists. Use the following steps: 

 - Remove the application and run the cleaner tool (https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html).

- Reboot your machine and install the application from this page: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html.
