Cannot change font in form fields

Community Beginner ,
Sep 13, 2025 Sep 13, 2025

My google research is leaving in a loop.

Everyone is asking how they change the font on form fields (in my case text fields and date fields)

I know that you open Prepare Form, Right Click the field, Select Properties, Select Appearances

You SHOULD then see the font size selection box where you can select AUTO, or a specific size

I see font size but NO option. No selection. I can change the font. But not the font size.

As a result the text in my fields is too big to fit and leave out numbers.

What is the solution?

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out and sorry for the trouble you are experiencing.

Is this an issue with  a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

Would you mind shairng the version of the Acrobat application and the OS you are using? Go to Help > About Acrobat and try updating the app to the latest version 25.01.20693 from the help menu > check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and reboot the application once and see if that helps.

Let us know how it goes.

You need to ask program questions in the forum for the program you are using
To ask in the forum for your program please start at https://community.adobe.com/

Kind of weird. Does this occur for you on the attached form too? If so I suggest a problem with the installation itself.
