Cannot Create a PDF Acrobat DC Mac

When I drag a Excel file to the Acrobat Dock icon on a Mac I get the below error. I've tried deleting the "ArcFolder" folder (which regenerates itself), but that does not fix the issue.

I've also tried restarting the Mac in safe mode, and removing and reinstalling MS Office and Acrobat.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Brandont,

Sorry for the delayed response and inconvenience caused. Please check for any pending updates of Acrobat from help>check for updates, reboot the machine after installing any updates and see if this brings any difference.

Also, try the troubleshooting steps from the following KB article Troubleshoot Acrobat PDFMaker issues in Microsoft Office on Windows

Have you tried with other Excel file? Try opening the Excel file from the Acrobat from File>Open>Select the Excel file from the saved location, and see if the error message pops up.

You may also reset the Acrobat preferences once, and reboot the machine, to reset the preferences, refer to How to reset Acrobat Preference settings to default.

If the issue persists, please share the following details:

  • Dot version of Acrobat installed, to identify refer to Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC
  • The Mac OS version installed?
  • The version of Office installed?
  • Is it specific to one Excel file or with all the Excel files?
  • If it is specific to one Excel file, is it possible to share the file with us?
  • To share the file, please use Adobe Send feature, upload the file, share the link to files via private message only, How Do I Send Private Message

Let us know how it goes and share your findings.

Regards,

Anand Sri.
