Cannot create pdf from word doc

Hi, I cannot create a PDF from a word doc anymore. I have uninstalled acrobat pro & re-installed to the latest version. 

I am still notified with an error message "An unexpected error occurred. PDFMaker was unable to create the Adobe PDF"

I produce these up until a few weeks ago, does anyone have any help?

Does it work if you use Save as Adobe PDF from Inside Word?

My end goal is to save the word doc as a PDF so that i can then sent it out for signature to several of my colleagues. I'll try that to see if it works. Even if it did, there still must be a bug or setting causing the issue as it has worked for over a year for me. Thanks for your input.
