Cannot merge PDF-files

I am trying to merge two PDF-files. But Adobe says that the files are not supported. Even though they are regular PDF-files and I have tried with several different files. The files are not big at all either. What is wrong?

Are you doing it in the application itself, or online?

I am doing it in the app that I downloaded from the website where I have an account

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the troubled experience

Is it possible to share those files with us? Also, check if you have permission to edit the files. To check file permissions, open the file in Acrobat > Ctrl + D (Win) Cmd + D (Mac). The file properties window will appear, and check the Security tab. 

Please share the screenshot of the error and the security tab (file Properties).

Lastly, if the files are on network or Cloud drive, copy them locally and try again.
