Cannot open large pdf files since Acrobat Reader version 23.03.00 on iPhone

Files larger than ~550,000 kb will no longer open since updating to version 20.03.00.  Also can not open with version 23.03.01.  Get msg: "The document cannot be opened becasue it might be corrupted or damaged."  Can download and open the same file on a different iPhone still running an earlier version of Acrobat reader and the file opens just fine.  Both iPhones are running IOS 16.4.  (A test file is too large to drag and drop - Max size 47 MB)  Files were created with adobe acrobat pro.

Yes, I can confirm this. I had a 800 MB art catalog that would no longer open on my iPad. To analyse the problem I started to bisect the larger file in order to find the problematic area in the file. However, after splitting the file into two 400 MB halfs, I could open both parts without problems. Then I saved the large pdf file with various "optimize pdf" option from Adobe Acrobat and noticed that only files smaller than 540 MB would open. I'm now using the "PDF Viewer" application which does not suffer from this strange limitation.
