Hi,  the other day I discovered that I can no longer open PDF files with Adobe Acrobat (free version) I constantly get this errormessage: "This Adobe-side does not match you geographical location. Based on you geographical location, we believe that you would prefer the homepage Denmark, where you wil find regional content, offers and prices" To solve this, I follow the instructions (ctrl+alt+del) etc. with no succes. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it - no succes. Does anyone out there know about this problem ? best regards Michael

Hi @michael_billabong

Sorry for the troubled experience.

Ensure your copy of Acrobat is updated, to check for pending updates, launch Acrobat > Help > Check for Updates.
Also, try repairing Acrobat, considering you are using a Windows system; Launch Acrobat > Help > Repair Installation.

If the issue still occurs, try capturing diagnostic logs: https://adobe.ly/41IkqDM choose advance logging, this tool helps you upload the logs directly to us however, you have to share the log ID with us.

Let us know if you have further questions.

I have never experienced this particular error message, but I have a few things to try whenever I encounter problems with PDF:

  • Try to open the PDF in a browser. Drag it in to the main window and see if it displays properly.
  • Try to open the PDF in another app like Preview.
  • Try uploading the PDF to acrobat.adobe.com. (You'll need to log in with your Adobe account.)

In all cases, if you can't seem to open the PDF, I think it may be a problem with the way the file was encoded in the first place. That, at least, will help you trace back to the person or source to examine for the future.
