Cannot print CMYK files properly

I’m having problems printing CMYK documents with Acrobat Reader, Pro, InDesign… every time I try to print a CMYK document it looks like RGB.

If I print the same document using Apple Preview everything works great.

Unfortunately, you give us precious little to go on other than the OS you are running under (Apple Preview quite fortunately is not available under Windows!).

Exactly what printer (manufacturer and model) are you printing to? Are you printing to the printer in a PostScript mode (assuming the printer has PostScript support) or not?

Perhaps you can show us scans of exactly what is “different” or unexpected color that is problematic for a sample PDF file and post that PDF file for us to try replicating the symptoms?!?

The good news is that you claim the Adobe applications are consistent in terms of color rendition when printing!

Sorry Dov, the printer is a SHARP MX4070 and I’m not printing in PostScript mode.

The left side of the image is the right one with the color teal (apple Previews), the right side is Acrobat or InDesign one, it looks like blue and dark, the maroon changes too but not too much.

Thanks
