Hi,
I am trying to Print to PDF a document in Excel 2016 using Adobe Acrobat X Pro.
Recently, when I try, the progress bar comes up, and then after a few seconds, it begins working in the background. The Adobe icon continues spinning and is stuck on "creating". After a few hours, it still has not created the PDF.
This only seems to be an issue with Excel 2016. It works fine with Word and other programs.
I am using Windows 7.
Please help. Thanks!

Does save as PDF work in Excel?
Try using opening the Excel from Acrobat.

Hi Abambo,
Yes, I can go "File" "Save As" and select to save the file as a PDF and that will work.
It just appears that the Print to PDF function is not working.
Thanks,
Alanna

OK!
Did you try to open your Excel file from the Acrobat application?
Open Acrobat - Open your Excel file from within Acrobat - Excel starts, there is some processing - Acrobat displays a PDF of the Excel data...
It's just for trying!

Yes, we did try this.
It will work and save if the first tab on Excel is selected (Sheet 1).
It does not work if the subsequent tabs in Excel are selected (Sheet 2, Sheet 3, etc.).
Thanks,

What I didn't ask until now (sorry, my omission): Does this happen only with a specific Excel file or with all?
Print to a file (using a Postscript printer driver) and try opening this file with Acrobat. You can also try drag and drop to distiller.
If that doesn't help: Try simplifying your Excel, by printing only tab per tab or a range of tabs. I'm sure, the problem is hidden in one specific tab. by isolating the problem, we may get further.

how can we test multiple excel files to check if it is isolated case with specific file, or applies to all other excel file. That is time consumig, isn't it.

Print with Adobe Printer has worked so far, but recently I see this error. Yes, I see save as PDF allows me to achieve same as print pdf, but what is the point of not making print via pdf available?
