Cannot remove PDF from desktop

Explorer ,
Oct 18, 2022 Oct 18, 2022

I have a PDF file on my desktop that I cannot remove.

It has a long file name (that I cannot edit), I also cannot open the file and receive the message "There was an error opening this document. The path does not exist".

I no longer require the file so am happy to remove it from my computer.

Any suggestions as to how to remove the file is appreciated as I have tried everything.

Thank you for all your help, I have found a solution.

I used EaseUs BitWiper and used the file shredder function.

I had the same issue on 19.09.2024 and then I did some research and finally got the solution.  Go to this link provided below. The software is called as star locker. Download it and run the software. After opening the software, go to the file location and then select and delete. It worked for me.
