I tried to adjust the size of my Output Preview dialog box, but I could only make it larger. Now I can't seem to resize it at all and it's taking up a big chunk of my screen space. Clicking and dragging from one of the edges or corners doesn't change anything, and moving the dialog box resets it to the arbitrary size shown in this screenshot:
I'm running Windows 10 Pro, version 21H1, OS build 19043.1415.
I have two 1920x1080 monitors, and moving the dialog box to the other monitor doesn't solve the issue.
I have so far tried restoring my preferences, changing the display resolution, and restarting my computer.
I'd like to be able to set it to a specific size, or at least back to the default size.

Hi there
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you want to resize the output preview dialogue box.
What are the steps you did to make the dialogue box larger?
Please go to Edit > Preferences > General > under, Scale for screen resolution, toggle between 'Auto Detect' and 'No Scalling' > Click OK and reboot the application and see if that works for you.
You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows and try using the application there and check.

Interesting - I can stretch mine taller, but not smaller than initially presented too. But mine presents differently than yours, with less empty space.

I just resized it as normal by dragging the edges of the dialog box.
Changing that setting doesn't seem to have fixed it.
This is a work computer and I don't have the option to create a new user profile unfortunately.

Actually I'm wrong, I was able to create a new admin user and open up Acrobat. On the new user profile I can adjust the dialog box as normal, none of the above issues are present.
Here's a screenshot in case it's helpful:
Our IT is offsite and takes a long time to look in to anything, is there anything else I can try before that?

Oh! I can actually adjust it on my normal user profile now. Looks like setting up an adminstrator profile and loading up Acrobat solved the issue.
Thanks for your help!

This solution didn't work for me either. Not sure I can create a new admin user to fox this bug. surely there must be a reg entry or somethingn that can be edited?

Hey, did you find any solution? I am stucked in the same situation. Tried with another admin account, not worked for me. 😞
@Amal. Are you still here? Tried uninstall, not worked. As I read, Acrobat cleaner tool is not working with CC, so it is not a solution for me.

Hello, we have the same issue on both computers.
The size of the "Output preview dialog" has been resized (bigger) by our screen management software and it's now impossible to reduce it 😞

Hey @Amal. ,
Is there any news with this situation? I don't want to completely reinstall the Windows with all the ather apps we use (this is a prepress workstation with lots of apps, plugins, Heidelberg Workflow, etc).
Thanks in advance.

How has this still not been resolved after a couple years??

I've had a new laptop with a totally clean hard drive, fresh install of Windows, fresh install of Acrobat and it's still there. And in the way.

Problem still occurs here. Windows10, PlugIn Enfocus PitStop and Callas pdfToolbox
Acrobat and PlugINs newest Version.
Working on a Laptop with additional Screen with Remote Desktop and Screenres. 3440x1440.
On the Remote Desktop Acrobat is running with the huge Output-Preview Window.
I fix it by changing the Window Setting for the second Screen from Monitor>Landscape to Portrait Mode (now i can scale the huge Output-Preview-Window) and set it back to Landscape Mode.

This is fixed for me now.
What fixed it I don't know. I'm running latest Win11 updates with Acrobat 2024.004.20272

As I said, I don't know what fixed it. An Adobe update? A Windows update? I honestly have no idea.
