Hi, I had to sign an offer and therefore had to print it and then scan it. The document is now available as PDF but when I try to save it to PDF/A it shows error.

Your document needs to meet the specifications for the PDF/A Standard. What is your reason for using this Standard?

The reason is for long term preservation. Thank you for sharing the links. I have gone through and read the information.. Unfortunately, I am not a technical person in this subject and therefore cannot understand what are the standars that my document needs to meet. All I am asked is to submit my work proposals, signed and in PDF/A but I have tried, with scan and not scanned versions and different documents and it always gives the same error that I posted on the initial message, so it seems to be a plugin error or something similar.

Print, sign and scan a PDF file is an old school process.
Can't you use a digital signature?

I agree, but if I do so I need to have it officially recognized and cant do that.
Is there no way of transforming a PDF scan as a PDF/A?
