Change of frame color or thickness fopr morm fields does not work

If I try to make the rim of a form field visible the color or thickness selection does not apply to the selected form field. Any Idea what I am doing wrong?

You have to uncheck the "Transparent" Check-Box and then select a color. As soon as you close the window the color is applied.
