Hi, is there any possible way to change the default format for a date field?
It will always start as M/D/YYYY, until I change it manually to DD/MMMM/YYYYY
This is on Adobe Acrobat.
Thank you

No.

You can't change the default date format but you can create a custom toolbar button or menu item that adds a field in the format you want. You would have to pick a location on the page where the field would always land and move it aftwards.

Thank you! Just checking, would this need to be a custom javascript function?

It would be a JavaScript file placed in the application JavaScripts folder so it runs when Acrobat starts up, so you have the menu item or toolbar button. If you're interested in a quote for me to create this for you please message me privately.

This is something that I miss. The older versions would allow me to choose the format. This is important when you deal with international entities, as many will sign dd/mm/yyyy, not mm/dd/yyyy. I would have it switch the format to take whatever they put in and type it out completely to Month day, year. This kept everything uniform and eliminated misunderstandings. Please bring this back.
On a side note, I miss the old signature blocks as well. The forms are much more difficult to make "end user" proof and functional for our purposes.
