changing text and figure box boundary

Adobe DC Pro displays boundaries between a plot and its figure caption as a text box. Howeve in a plot x-axis labels are contained in the figure caption box.　How can I change the box boundary?

Without having seen this yet, I suspect that it cannot be done. One way that might work is to copy the X-axis labels and paste them into the desired area. 

But again, not seeing this, I may be totally wrong in what I'm guessing at.
