Cloud-based auto-tagging is great, but is it HIPAA great?

The Acrobat Autotag feature seems like it's geting better every day, especially when cloud-based autotagging is enabled (Preferences > Categories > Accessibility > select Enable cloud-based auto-tagging for accessibility, press OK). It's my go-to as step one in a Canva doc for example, and can sometimes really repair an utterly boogered multi-page remediation.

That said, I'm in an agency that handles HIPAA. Does Adobe ensure a truly secure transfer of the data that's flown up into the AI cloud for auto-tagging and back? Or are we going to be forced to shut down the autotag cloud pipe to secure our PHI and PII?

Thank you!

Hi @MikeCraghead_biz

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Please go through the help page https://www.adobe.com/trust/compliance/hipaa-ready.html and see if that works.

Regards

Amal

Hello Amal,

I'm afraid I got a bit lost in the acronyms at that link. Does cloud-based auto-tagging work via one of the listed "HIPAA-ready services," or are we all waiting for the AI to become HIPAA-ready?

Thank you!!

Mike
