Colours wildly different between Acrobat Pro DC and Apple's Preview

I'm new to CC and never had this issue before I upgraded from CS3 to CC - and from El Capitan to Monterey.

Why are the colours wildly different when viewing in Acrobat Pro DC compared with Apple's Preview?

Is there anything I'm missing or not doing right?

Any help is very much appreciated, thank you.

Left: Acrobat Pro DC (accurate) / Right: Preview (overly saturated and well off)

As the name suggests, "Preview" is a program that displays previews.
Furthermore, Preview is a low-end program that only partially supports the PDF 1.4 specifications (which date back to 1999).

As it is impossible to remove it, I can only suggest that you do not use it.

When you display a PSD or XLS file with Preview you don't expect to find all the features of Photoshop or Excel.
It's the same with PDF files.
