I have been using Combine files (PDF) feature for 2 years. Few days ago I started to get an error: Could not organize everytime.

My process is:

I (drag & drop) files from my computer.

Reorder them

Combine Files

Export

Now I get error Could not organize once I click Combine.

I tried:

1. Using different files (even PDFs that worked just fine a few weeks ago). (no solution)
2. Restored Windows settings (no solution)

3. Deleted Adobe Acrobat and re-installed it (no solution).

I use Windows 11. I have Adobe Acrobat installed on computer.

The only way I can combine files now is to upload document by going to Document - Upload a File and then go to Combine Files Feature and then Select Files (From Recent). Then it works.

How can I solve this issue?

UPDATE: Document - Upload a File and then go to Combine Files Feature also does not work anymore. Just sometimes.

I am lost with ideas what to try next.

I use Acrobat online and encountered the same error. My solution was to compress one of my files first because it was 5.5 MB and then it worked as normal. The compress feature is found after uploading a file to acrobat online then selecting the check box next to the file on the home screen. Then a menu will appear on the right and one of the options is compress. Then select the newly created compressed version and any other uploaded file by clicking on the check box next to them and select combine from the menu on the right.

Is there any solution to this? I've been making jpg through screen shots of my PDFs and printing them all as a PDF to combine--- it is the most ridiculous thing to do but why is every PDF I'm trying to combine through the acrobat.adobe.com

come up as "Could not organize?"
