Combine Files in Acrobat Pro after upgrade to Ventura OS

Since I upgraded to MacOS Ventura I can no longer use the Combine Files tool to combine several files into one. After I drag the files to Acrobat I click Combine and it begins to do the security check. Then it quits responding and I have to force quit. The most frustrating thing is that every once in a while it will work. However, if it works once it will not work again for days. It seems to make no difference if there are only a few files or many.

I saw what seems to be the same problem listed from October, 2022 however there were no answers to his request. I am hoping someone else has hit this problem since and has some help.
