Hi all,
Has anyone experienced major issues with the compare option for Adobe Acrobat Pro after updating to Windows 11? (View menu - Compare Files option)
This is a crucial tool for our team and we cannot do documents comparisons anymore.
We have uninstalled/reinstalled the program and nothing works. The comparison seems like it starts, but then freezes.
If any tips, please share!
Many thanks!

Sorry to hear about the trouble caused.
As mentioned, the comparison stopped working after updating to Windows-11. Did you install the updates for Acrobat as well?
Please share the exact version of Acrobat you are working on. Open Acrobat>help>About Acrobat.
Navigate to Acrobat>Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable "Protected View" and "Enhanced Security">OK>close and reopen Acrobat and try comparing files again.
Note: these changes are only for testing purposes. Once tested, please change it back to the previous setting.
yo can verify from here if you have the latest version or don't https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html
Thanks,
Akanchha

Yes, we have already verified updates page and we are on: last one from March 22 2023
we are on 64 bits; does it matter if someone is on 32 bits instead?
- we can run small compared with only text; very slow
- we cannot run longer compare like before the update
- we cannot run compare with text and images; program crashes
Same results with or without the Security Enhanced settings checked or not.
Thanks!

I am also having a problem comparing two versions of a file. I uninstalled and re-installed Adobe Acrobat Pro and got same results.
Windows 10 Pro.
Adobe Acrobat Pro is version 23.2048. (20421).
I also tested using the suggestion in this thread.
Open Acrobat>help>About Acrobat.
Navigate to Acrobat>Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable "Protected View" and "Enhanced Security"> Click OK
Close and reopen Acrobat and try comparing files again. That failed with the same error.
Original settings were restored.
Acrobat still gives an error message that says
Acrobat could not compare the documents completely. Do you want to see the report anyway?
If you select yes, it's justa no data or difference. I get the same result no matter how I choose to compare the files, such as text only, etc.
