Compare function not showing

New Here ,
May 27, 2025 May 27, 2025

I am using Acrobat Continuous release Version 2025.XX

In the "All tools" ("Tous les outils") section, cannot see the the Compare functionality although this page is clearly indicating that Acrobat Continuous does support this function: Comparez deux versions d’un fichier PDF dans Adobe Acrobat

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hello @zsuzsa_9517!

I hope you are doing well. Thanks for reaching out.

Please share a screenshot of the 'All Tools' section where the compare file is missing. Are you on a Mac or Windows machine, and what is the version? The Compare Files tool is only available in Acrobat Pro (not Acrobat Standard or the free Acrobat Reader).

Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 25.001.20474 (Win) | 25.001.20476 (Mac), Apr 28, 2025. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and try again. Sign out from the app, restart the machine, and sign back in with the Adobe ID (email) associated with the license/subscription.

We checked your current Adobe ID (email) used to log in to the community, but we couldn't find any licenses or subscriptions associated with it. Please make sure you are logged in with the correct email ID in the app to use the Compare feature. Additionally, ensure that you have not installed the free Acrobat Reader, as the Compare functionality is not available in that application.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.

Hi Anand,

Thank you for your reply!

When I open "about Acrobat", I can see that I do have the latest version but it also says "Adobe Acrobat". So it seems I do not have Acrobat Pro, and according to your reply, this explains why I do not have access to the compare function.

Thanks anyway,

Zsuzsa
