This topic goes back 3-4 years, I guess. And nothing has happned: it is still not poxible to make an embedded audio or video controllable for the user of a PDF document.
If anyone from Adobe is reading this:
1. Why don't you solve this problem, which is crucial to a lot of your user?
2. If the answer is, that you dont want to solve it, why dont you state this loud and clealy?
To anybody:
Is it possible to use another software to solve the problem?
I am realy worry about this situation which has destroyed a business idea of mine, and I fint the position of Acobe vey arrogant - to a loyal customer for more than 30 years. WHY do yo do this???????????????????

Hi @Lindholm Lau,
Sorry for the delayed response.
Thank you for sharing your feedback on embedded media in PDFs. We understand your frustration, especially when it relates to a crucial aspect of your work.
Regarding Adobe's Response and Feature Development: Adobe typically prioritizes development based on user feedback, market demand, technical feasibility, and other factors. Community input like yours helps highlight how essential this functionality is to users.
There have been some enhancements in this area: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/rich-media.html might not answer your question in the way you asked. Please check this link and let us know if that doesn't answer your question. Currently, we have some controls available.
And what do you mean the audio and video are not controllable?
~Tariq
