Convert dropdown field to text

Hey Everyone,

I have a form with a lot (lot) of dropdown fields, is there an easy way to convert the current dropdown fields to similiarily named and sized text fields.

Or am I about to do a lot of hard manual copy pasting labor? 😛

There's no easy way to convert the type of a field. You can use a script to do it, but it basically requires removing the old field and then adding a new one in the same place, and in the new type. You would lose all scripts and other actions associated with the field in the process, though.
