Hi Ashwin

Thanks for reaching out. As described you want to convert 20,000 TIFF files to PDF.

You can conver the files using batch processing as described in the similar discussion here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/batch-convert-tiffs-to-pdfs/td-p/4026921?page=1
Note: Steps are same for the new version.

Hope it will help

Regards

Amal

Want you all images in one PDF file?

This might prove too much for Acrobat to do in a single process. You'll probably need to split it up and do it in batches.

I suggest you look for specialist software. Acrobat will annoy and frustrate you if you try to use it as if it is a heavy duty automation tool.

Also.... be very sure you know whether you want OCR, and if you do, what kind. If you don't know what OCR is, find out first, or you could waste days or weeks of work.

Another solution is to use a script in Adobe Photoshop to do such a conversion. Quite frankly, the conversion of TIFF (or any other raster image format) to PDF in Photoshop gives you many more options than than such conversions in Acrobat, including options for optional downsampling, the image format to be used within the PDF file, color management (i.e., profile inclusion), PDF version, etc.
