Do you know of a way to cleanly/legibly convert a California court filing from PDF to Word? The line pagination makes a mess of the conversion and the Word document needs a lot of clean up to make it usable.

I mean line numbering, not pagination.

Let me move this to the Acrobat forum for you, where I hope you'll find a useful answer for your question.

I have the same issue - how to convert PDF on pleading paper (with numbers 1-28 on left side) to word document docx. Just "convert" creates really messy formatting

Hi there
Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that
Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.
What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.08.20470 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.
Let us know how it goes.

DocStyle is the only way I know to convert it without having to go take out all the line numbers. It's not perfect, you may have to still make a few edits but if you want to save time (and money), it's worth a try.

Did you figure out a way to do this? It would be a huge time saver to be able to convert PDF on pleading paper to .docx - still on pleading paper!
