New Here ,

I need to convert a pdf to word so that I can insert fonts to the top of the page. Every attempt creates a word document that has unreadable mixed characters. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the delayed response. I believe you would be able to fix the issue by now, If the issue still exists:

1. Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

2. What is the workflow/steps you did to convert the PDF to Word file? A small video of the same would be very helpful for more clarity.

The issue you're experiencing, could be due to several factors, such as the original PDF containing scanned images, special fonts, or complex formatting. Please try the steps below and check:

  1. Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat (not Reader).
  2. Go to "File" > "Export To" > "Microsoft Word" > "Word Document."
  3. Ensure the “Recognize text if needed” option is enabled in the export settings.

You may also try the Online Adobe PDF Converter:

  1. Visit Adobe’s online PDF to Word converter.
  2. Upload your PDF and download the converted Word file and see if that works.

Let us know how it goes.
