After you make a PDF you can add attachments using Acrobat Pro.

You may have to manually add those objects as attachments to the PDF or have PDF maker attach the Word doc to the PDF when converting to a PDF.

I believe Acrobat has never been able to attach embedded objects in Word to a PDF. This is most likely related to the need to call nested helper applications like Word, Excel, Photoshop, etc and would make the running application to large to run on most systems. Also attachments represent a possible security issue so blindly attaching them is not considered a good practice. Even opening them as a general is discouraged unless they are from a trusted source.
