Corrupt bookmark PDF

Can anyone help, 

I have a 2377 page bookmark doc and when adding a corrupt file it has changed the text to squares omg

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

What happens when you remove the corrupt file from the document? Does that corrects the text in the document?

Also, go to Edit (Win), Adobe Acrobat (Mac)  > Preferences > Page Display > Under rendering > Select 'Use Local fonts and see if that works

You may also try to save the PDF file as "Save As" > Optimized PDF > Fonts > Check for any unembedded fonts and try to retain them and see if that works.
