Create a PDF from JPG

Community Beginner ,
Oct 17, 2022 Oct 17, 2022

I have Acrobat PRO latest version. When I try to create a PDF file from any jpg file (or when I try to combine multiple jpg files into a pdf) I get an error message telling me that the file type is not supported (as per the attached image). My OS is Windows 11 Home, Build 22621.674.

Thank you so much. Paolo.

Hi paolo.l,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the trouble caused.

Please check if you get the same error message when trying to create PDF using the Acrobat Online account.

Open the link https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/home/ and sign in using the Adobe credentials. Then go to the Convert tab and select "JPG to PDF".

Would you mind sharing the Acrobat application version number you currently use on the machine?

Also, confirm if you can convert other files or PNG files to PDF without any issues.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Hi Meenakshi,

I have no problem using my Acrobat Online account: everything works fine. I can confirm that I have the same problem for jpg and png. Also I can't insert any image in a PDF because I get an "unknown error" message. When I try to convert a Word file, I get an error telling me that I must have administrator privileges, despite my account being an administrator. Moreover, when I try to run Acrobat Pro as an administrator, the error I am attaching appears. I add that I have already tried to uninstall and reinstall the application, but both times I have had a lot of difficulties. The installation failed several times and only after many attempts was it successful. No problem however for the installation of Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Audition. I attach my Acrobat application version number. Thank you very mych. Best regards, Paolo.

Hi paolo.l,

Sorry about the delay in response.

Please let us know if you use a personal or work machine.

Did you start experiencing issues recently?

Would you mind sharing the screen recording of the workflow?

Thanks,

Meenakshi
