Creating an Acrobat form, but can't move, resize or copy fields using mouse drag and drop

I added form fields to a PDF file, but I can't move, resize or copy fields using mouse actions. I've checked field properties and document settings to confirm the fields aren't locked, and the options I've found for editing restrictions are unchecked. I've attached the file to this post.

Hi Mark287432408ria,
Thank you for reaching out.
We checked the form, and the form fields can be moved or changed without issues.
Please try repairing the application installation. Launch Acrobat and go to the Help menu > Repair Installation.
Reboot the machine once and check again. Ensure the mouse is working fine.
If the issue is still there, share the screen recording with us.
Share the Acrobat and OS version numbers.
Thanks,
Meenakshi

i am having somewhat of the same issue. i use the web client since i create web forms. when i drag fields from the right hand menu, E.I. drop down box, text fields, to my form. Once i left off the mouse i cannot re click and drag the form field around with my mouse. It makes me use the arrow keys EVEN THOUGH when i hover over it with my mouse it pops up the drag symbol but will not let me.

I am also now experiencing this issue when building reusable forms and form fields in Sign. As soon as any field is placed, I am unable to move it again unless I use the arrow keys, which is painfully inefficient. I am also unable to move the fields when prefilling a document prior to signature launch, which is now causing business workflow issues.

I have got it i think. it seems you cannot just click and hold to drag just anywhere in the block anymore. You must click and hold on the very edges and it will allow you to move the field with the mouse. i did this and i was able to finish my document with ease.

Thanks for the tip. Took a minute to find the sweet spot, it' razor thin, but I was able to drag a field finally. Adobe needs to fix this, I see we're not the only people expressing frustration about it online.

Not sure if its' only our instance, but it seems like the issue has been addressed and is back to its "old self" now. We've been able to drag and drop and resize with ease for the last few weeks.

Thank you so much for posting as this was driving me crazy in adobe sign. Between this and the recent update to Acrobat Pro these products have become much harder to use.

Just another Tip you can also use the arrow keys to move the box

I am also having this issue but slightly different. I can move the boxes BUT they jump around in certain large increments. It doesn't matter if I am using the mouse or arrow keys to move the box. I just need to nudge the field/box slightly to the right and it moves way too much. As if I had moved it 4-5 clicks of the arrow key. I can't find anyone else talking about this specifically. I have turned off the new Adobe experience. I am on a Mac.
