I canceled an annual plan and got rid of my login, nonetheless my credit card was just charged the annual fee. What gives? Give me back my $900 Adobe!
The billing information online is inane and not exactly matching to my circumstances. Do I need to pursue it with my credit card company?

You should contact Adobe directly for help with this issue using one of these channels:
Chat support: helpx.adobe.com/contact.html
(make sure pop-ups are not blocked; type "Agent" to chat with a real person or via phone during working hours)
Twitter: https://twitter.com/AdobeCare
There's no email support.
Beware of people contacting you via the forum's messaging system pretending to work for Adobe! Only those with an "Adobe Employee" tag are legit. Also, Adobe will never offer to contact you via Skype or use an email account not under the adobe.com domain...

As you cancelled, you have the e-mail confirming the cancel. With that mail, I recommend that you contact Adobe customer service as recommended by @try67 .
