cut large pdf into pages so i can print

I have a pdf that is 8.5 or A4 in width but is 4-5 feet 1.5-2 meters in length. I try to print it and it won't print full size but tries to print all the document on one or two pages. I need to get the pdf to print full size and have page breaks. What to do? thanks.

Besides the options given in the link from @Luke Jennings3 you could also use the Poster option of Acrobat. You can't, however, have much influence about how it prints.
